Played 6 Sept. Pace of play terrible; 6 hours on a weekday to play 18. 5's & 6's allowed, teeing off in front of 2's with no understanding of pace of play. Starter incompetent, no marshalls on course. Too bad for a nicely designed golf course. Obviously no trained staff on course.

I had been play this course twice both had same problem. No one can control the time. First time I play this course, I spend 7 hours on the course because it very slow player in front and not allow to pass them. Second time I spend another 6 hours because the same reson. I had keep calling marshall but not work. If you don't have full day free you shouldn't think about this course.

I played on a Monday when most other courses are closed. 2nd floor restaurant imposes a THB50 charge to book a taxi back to Bangkok. A pleasant experience overall.

Better avoid on weekend, unless you are willing to spend 6-7 hours per 18 holes. So many tourists (especially Korean) plus Stand by group. And lately I found so many group of 6 golfer. The course only expect money and let you stuck under the hot sun.

Panya PARKING is the only name I can think of. Usually play there on sundays and the speed of play is horrendous. Will not return anytime soon. It is a very nice course but badly managed, especially the role of the marshalls needs a lot of attention.

Slow play is the worst here. Marshals have no idea on how to control the flow. They seem to be more worry about letting tour groups (3-4 groups at one time) cut in between first 9 and back 9. On good golf courses, one is allowed to play through before new groups are allowed to cut in. However, it seems the Starters and Marshals are all overly friendly towards tour operators. I guess money talks louder than praises from players.

Beware of this course. Web site says 900 Baht but they tried to charge me 1700 Baht....said I wasn't Thai. Web site says must have Thai Drivers license which I do and showed it to the lady at the desk. She said only Thais can play for 900 Baht. After I raised my voice they held a meeting and gave me a VIP rate of 900 Baht. Starters let two five balls go before us (we were a 2 ball) and the first 5 ball wouldn't let us pass. Management is horrible and they are liars and they have double tier rates for playing. Course is only good for Thais. If they want high paying golfers to go there (i.e. not Thais) they should put their map on their website in an easy to find location and put it in Thai. Will play there again after the next snowstorm in Bangkok. Constructive criticism.....get some real management; don't double price; get the starters some grey matter between their ears.

Unimpressed by one of the ladies at the reception--seemed a bit haughty in my opinion. Stopped by pro shop to look at what they offered and the two girls working there never stopped talking to each other to greet us, etc. Caddies had no manners, were always about 30 yards behind me when I got to my ball and several times I had to tell them where my ball had gone. Several times they tried to hand me the wrong club (ie no putter on green--duh!!) My partner had similar problems with her caddy. Had an early tee off time on a weekday so there was no waiting for any other golfers in front of us. There are long walks between some holes of the golf course. Didnt hire a cart because the course doesn't allow carts on the grass. Cart was 800 baht, the highest cost for carts I have ever seen in Thailand. Greens and fairways were both good and course is well maintained. Lack of overall personnel training (caddy. pro shop, reception, etc) is quite apparent and is the reason I will not play here again. Too bad, because some of the other Panya courses reflect a high level of training (ie Natural Park) and I was looking forward to this one. Water on most holes represent a bit of a challenge and I thought the overall course appearance was very good.

Panya could not manage golfer quite well on weekday, just only 2 course that opened. Waste time to go for weekday. Last of all, If you carry 2 golf bags on 1 cart, you will be charged by more rate cart rental.
