Beautiful course with a nice layout. Unfortunately, the management puts making money above all else. Both times I played there, it was unbearably slow with a round over 5 hours which to me is unacceptable. One the second day, they actually inserted 4 foursomes ahead of us at the 10th hole and we had to wait about 40 minutes to continue the round. I won't go back there unless it's low season during the week...

After two years spending a week golfing here each Spring we moved to Lamphun this year - moved back after 2 days! A piece of golfing heaven but now pipped for top spot in Chiang Mai by the Highlands which is a slightly tougher lay out with more tee options. Played between 7th and 11th March and course was in excellent condition even after 5 months with no rain; lush and green with proper bunkers and subtly sloping greens. The caddies are generally good and some of them are excellent, able to "club" a reasonable golfer correctly after less than one round. For a trully heavenly golfing experience, try this place. If you want things a bit tougher then try The Highlands on the other side of town.

With the current promotion for local residents (not the cheapest in chiangmai though) the course is interesting to play, otherwise too far and too expensive (everything is relative, of course) to bother. I must say the course is in excellent shape now probably because there is no traffic. The environment is lush and well groomed, very pleasurable to walk. The golf is good, not too penalising, and it makes for a wonderful day. A better 'year-long' promotional effort for local residents would definitely improves the numbers of green-fees ... do they need it, i would not know but an investment of this magnitude (included the first class hotel) needs a return ... May i be heard !

Agree with walkinthepark ... a year long promotion for residents would surely be appreciated. Perhaps they count on the dreadful korean season to make their year ... the course is in excellent shape at the moment.

Played CM Highlands the day before, so I was disappointed by the condition of the tees (sparse grass) and fairways. Interesting layout with many doglegs. Play was reasonably fast because of the small number of golfers the day we were there, but no visible action taken by marshall when groups did bunch up on a few holes. Overall, the course and clubhouse had a "worn out" appearance in my opinion. In bad need of maintenance and remodeling to compete with the nicer courses in Thailand. Caddies not particularly helpful with distances or reading greens. Service in clubhouse restaurant was poor.

Wonderful course! Excellent fairways, greens and caddies. From the first to last hole the course is challenging. Especially the bunkers are deep and tricky. Have not met too many people since it is a bit of a drive from Chiang Mai. Nevertheless, considering the quality and price it is worth the effort.
