As the post underneath is saying this is not the Chiangmai-Lamphun golf club anymore (please thaigolfer management, amend the site as it is now Alpine ...!) ... I agree with the comments of 'not korean' ... not an interesting move from the old course and according to the general feeling of the local crowd a sheer disappointment ...

Played in last week November 2009 at early morning. After the big re-modeling I will rate it as No. 2 in Northern Thailand. Unfortunately the Greenfee, because no promotion was available (?), seems much to high. Furthermore the "course management", for the speed of play, needs more attention. Siggi (Handicap 9.2)

I play this course regularly and find it beautiful, challenging and enjoyable every round. Every hole has its own character and the greens have recently become faster (11+ on the stimp). Pro's I have spoken to don't appreciate the tree in the middle of the 18th fairway. I agree it is a bit pricey for tourists.

Great course where you can open your shoulders. Condition A1. Caddies are very good but the food is expensive.

A challenging course in a beautiful enviroment.Better use your head than the wood. One could fall in love with the course, but the greenfee is quite high and the location for a tourist not the best. The lay out my favorite around Chiangmai.

new course called now 'alpine golf resort' chiangmai ... total loss of character ... only defense is distance ... this is a resort golf course to cater to tourists ... a great loss for chiangmai as the older course was challenging and just needed some fairway rebuilt and slight design changes ... Now the course is well built but rather boring to play ... the greens are mostly flat, the fairways very wide and with a good drive there is no interesting second shot ... Price will be questionnable and they will need promotions to attract the local crowd ... food is blend in a new concrete clubhouse which says nothing of the Lanna traditional way ...

The most challaging course in Chiangmai and chiangri area. Hilly course and narrow fairways wind through the side hill .Slope on the greens are difficult to read. The fairway and green condition are superp. A must for your visit.
