A good layed out course. Moderarte maintained. Tough on a windy day. Food and drinks are way too expensive. Staff are less helpful. Average for the lodging.

Very attractive scenery and joyful. Better play in the rainy season and cool season.

I am highy impressed with this course. Not crowd at all. I was there on 27th May. Green is quite perfect, Fairway is well maintainence. The weak point is Caddy. Most of them are student who work on weekend only. Their knowledge on couse is so poor. So nothing much you can expect from them. Club House need to be taken care urgently. It is good and beautiful but lack of maintainence. What a waste. Finally, if you have never been there. Worth to try.

We played this course on 7/17/04 and this is a great design on a magnificent piece of land. The unfortunate downfall is that the greens were dreadful. Mid-week in July, we had the place almost to ourselves and played in good time. Dealing with some of the other comments: 1. There are five sets of tees and you can make this course as difficult or as easy as you want. The middle tees are about 6300 yards, and the slope from there is probably 120 or so - not too tough. If you are going to spray it all over, then maybe you are going to have a lot of trouble, but the fairways are generous and the landing areas are obvious so if you have a clue you will enjoy the design a lot. There are many cases where you need to think through the shots and shaping shots comes in handy. 2. My caddy was great - he knew the yardages and how to play the holes including where to cut the doglegs and which side to enter the greens. This was communicated mainly in Thai, however. He was number 43 and highly recommended. 3. Management of the course is really lacking. We had the same problem with no range balls and waited on the practice tee a long time for them to deliver a bag of scruffy balls they picked out of the long range grass for us. Then they overcharged us for the balls! The pro shop staff does not have a clue, and remain cool if they treat you like the first players to ever show up there. 4. The greens, as I said, were pitiful. Not too sure when they punched them last, but the growth is uneven and the ball does not roll. They have a worm problem and there are worm casings all over the green, so in combination with the bad grass putting is impossible. There was also a fungus on several greens and the grass there was dead. One of my group putted from the front of a green and the ball had enough air time to qualify for a pilot's license. Really a shame, as the course itself is well laid out and a truly great Nicklaus design. 5. Food was pretty bad at the resort, but there are plenty of good restaurants a short drive away. 6. Did not use the locker room as we stayed at the hotel (pretty decent rooms) and a good swimming pool.

Just played today, and very beautiful with very breath-taking sceneries. A must for any serious golfer. Jack Nicklaus did a very good job using the natural beauty of Khoa Yai.

I played on 19 July,,,and dispointed,in fact this course has good layout and excellent landscape,,,,however maintenance is not so good, and moreover the course was invaded with a lot of Korean peoples,,I heard that 100 persons,,!and they play quite slow! and talking very loud in club house,I escaped from there after 1st 9 holes,,,Oh! terrible!

When I made reservation for this golf course, I had high expectations: Jack Nicklaus designed, scenic location, great facilities. However, I was completely let down after 1 hole at the golf course. The course layout is absolutely fantastic. You can see the work of The Bear on each hole, with hazards cleverly placed to trap the unweary golfer. However, the course is in poor condition, no thanks to very poorly trained caddies. The caddies don't know (a) distance to green/pin, (b) distance of particular hazards, (c) advice on line to take, (d) golf rules, and (e) scoring. You do all this yourself to get it right. They also do not repair divots and pitch marks, or rake bunkers. No wonder the course is in bad shape. Our flight of 4 had equally poorly trained caddies. Poor service also extends to the clubhouse staff. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of water at the coffee shop: and that was when we went to the counter to take water ourselves. Service is extremely poor. I can see that this can be a wonder golfing experience, provided management take note and improve facilities. Else they better reduce price dramatically, as it is not worth the money for such poor quality.

Set in stunning countryside, the front 9 is quite tricky, the back 9 quite straight forward. I called ahead to ensure the Koreans weren't playing and had a great round. Never eaten there, just played and left. Course is in great nick - i played in feb and march 2007. Highly recommended, just call ahead to be sure. Ignore the dilapidated buildings around the entrance - ugly, but unimportant to a good game of golf.
