NOTE TO THAIGOLFER.COM; THIS COURSE CHANGED ITS NAME TO KHAOYAI GOLF CLUB OVER 5 YEARS AGO!

For everyone else: Fantastic course that was sadly suffering from drought when we were there - the high fairays and greens rating is because I know how good they can be, although some of the greens need a re-working Facilities very basic, but what a spectacular setting and gorgeous track!!!

Yo Tiger (not the same guy on TV), not everyone is a Professional golfer. Beginner golfer like myself can't judge the distance by the eyes or read the putt as great as yourself. In thailand, caddies are like personal assistance, therefore their job is not just carry bag but give advise. No one should know the course better than caddies and I've to say that this course's caddies are very poor and need trainning. In summary, would not go there again.

I agree with previous post on hotel etc. - badly in need of refurb. Course is spectacular and in very good condition. Having to pay a green fee for a non golfing companion a bit much !!!

Stayed there for a week in the mid July. Good course but terrible service - espcially the Pro-shop ! Nice accommodation and facilities.

I've played in this course at 15/11/03. The general condition was good ,especially fairway was well maintained. The green was good condition too but the grass was a little bit too long so speed is too slow. But I knew from my caddy that it will be cut short next week. The lay out is O.K. for weekend golfer if you play at front tee. At golden tee is not too difficult for golfer handicap under 18 but at black tee , it is one of the hardest work.

I've played at many courses all over Thailand, and have never seen one in such a bad condition. It's like the course has been left to grow or die at natures own doing. There is no or very minimal maintenance. What is most disappointing about my one day there, is the empty promises made by all the staff from step one onto the course. Starting from the reception citing the play speed and condition of the course, the starter, down to the quality of caddy. This is most aggrevating, as I was given good word on the caddy by the stater, but after the first tee and when requesting for club for my next shot, I suddenly found that this was only his 2nd day out. Basically, he did not even know the yardages or the obstructions to each hole. Food and services at the club house and all kiosks are terrible and expensive. I am a Thai national, but have been treated like a second class citizen, in my own country, which really spells trouble for all other Thais looking to have a good time there. It's like the courses' policy is to rip-off foreign nationals, whom have made reversations to stay for long periods of time, and have no other options of going elsewhere. Seeing the course, reflects how high-up in the clouds, the management must have been pre-crises, so till now they haven't figure out how to get down to earth yet. Moral of the staff are all bad, as I've found out after the round and come in to complain. Promises were made earlier to just get me past their post and onto to the course and out of their responsibilities. None have love for the course. I have very strong feeling against this course, and do not ever recommend any one who reads this to go there. The "one day all you can play" price tag is just a hoax as there is no way you can play that many holes, if you do not have a cart, as very few are operational and have been taken up to service their marooned foreign cash-cows.

I only partially agree with mr. butthead below (an appropriate name given his understanding of the game of golf). Mission Hills is a fabulous course. The layout was risk/reward golf as its best. Yes, the caddies were dumb, but you go to play the course, not to get advice from the caddies. They just carry the bags. Real golfers know how to determine their own yardages and know what the rules of golf are. The scenery was also fantastic as the high mountains provide the backdrop for all the holes. I played it from the tips and only shot 74. In short, go play this course!!!

Beautiful course, very good condition. But the locker has nothing at all. No dryer, no cotton buds, no hot water?!!! I live there one day so I can go back to my room! But for people who don't live there.......!!!
