This course is pleasant to play and a fair value. Layout is very flat and basic with small grass mounds or water lining most of the fairways. It has very much the feel of a park. Many of the trees and wetlands around the course are mature so the scenery does not seem as artificial looking as some of the other courses I have played close to BKK. Some greens are more sandy than others but they were all in passable condition as were the fairways and bunkers. The course looks pretty wide open and easy, but I my ball seemed to find trouble quite a bit on a few of the holes. All the caddies I saw on the course looked young and cute, mine took very good care of me and spoke enough English to help me throughout the round. I was a walking single on a Wednesday afternoon, and speed of play was good.

Hard to believe that this course has been in operation since '93 - with the absolutely immaculate clubhouse, locker room and shower facilities giving more the impression that it opened only yesterday. Compact but well laid out, with good separation between greens, the fairways etc. are also extremely well maintained - though the recently sanded greens themselves (in June) were rather slow. This could be the best course I've played in the Greater Bangkok area!

Folks, this is a good course to play on Friday or during the week. Layout, conditions, greens all good. If you like to walk it's a good course as well. Caddies fair. Saturday's are are poorly managed, over booked, and not worth your time If everyone gives Royal a wide berth on Saturday's maybe they will get the message.

The course is very good and fun to play. The only problem is that at the tee off area, there are always too many groups waiting to tee off. It caused a lot of noise specially from players that do not have manner in playing golf. Maybe the tee off interval is too short so the groups are back logged. The management should also review the tee off time chart!

Lately the greens has been in bad condition. Fully sanded ( luckily not plugged) and the caretakers were working on it on a Saturday. I am not a member so if I pay the full amount. I hope they will improve it soon otherwise I will be switching.

Played in tournament with Thai's, my sponser payed for me so for sure good value. Nice course, well layed out, lots of water but only found it once and that wasn't even on a drive. Greens in good shape, swift. Since shotgun start little surprised still a line of 20 people to use showers afterwards.

You can't bit it for Bt 1000 GF. Only odd is the marshall should do their job to speed up slow groups.

Played 09.00 Wed 25 November & it took 3 hours to play 9 holes!! We walked off the course without starting the back 9 as it was going to take more than 2.5 hrs. When I asked why it had taken so long, the reply was that the course was very busy!! The current condition of the course is excellent but 3 hours to play 9 holes mid-week is totally unacceptable. The management don't care except for the money that they receive from those who play. Be warned!!
