I'd been there back to 1998. It is quite a good golf course and well manage in such a good keep up and caddys' manner , at that time. I was there again in last three weeks, oh...it is terrible due to the Prime Minister there. The golf course superintendent move all the golfer to the other two courses, while let the two groups of Prime Minister play like they walk in their own backyard. I am so sorry with there existing member who pay their fee to get the privilege membership!!!! I'll suggest to who want to golfing on this golf course has to check whether the Prime Minister has his schedule on this golf-course or not.

With not much in the way of rough it is a very forgiving layout. The greens have many undulations but as long as the line of the putt is read correctly the putts run true. At THB 2100 per round on a Monday morning it is expensive and not surprising that we did not see any other players on the course. The course is very close to the new BKK airport construction site and it took us in excess of 2 hours to get from the middle of BKK to the course on a Monday morning.

Lakewood is a decent course, reasonably well taken care of. Unfortunately, since the recent dramatic price hike, there is little value for money at Lakewood. In addition, the club appears to be taking more an more tour buses in, which negatively impacts speed of play. They have also recently decided to allow 5 balls, which slows things down as well.

29/3/07 caddies are nice but I attacked by some insects when I golfing in the 9th hole. I got 7 very painful bites. My partner stopped the game and brought me to the local hospital. So terrible.

There should be a multi-lingual sign posted at the starter point, reminding the golfers to speed up play. Caddies should be trained not to be intimidated by the non-thai speakers, at least be able to inform when to start teeing off!

Course layout is quite ordinary, bordering boring but it makes up in condition. Beautiful greens and fairways, knowledgeable caddies.

Nice course, good service and well managed. I showed up as a single and was paired with an enjoyable group of regulars who play here frequently, and we got in 18 holes in about 4 hours at mid-day on a holiday! Wide fairways and very little OB means you can rip-away off the tee! This course isn't as testing as many others, so its a good place to begin your holiday or recuperate from the more demanding courses - yet it is still enjoyable and I'll be happy to go back again.
