Played this course with 7 other friends (2 flight) on 18th Feb 2011. All of us disappointed on the green condition. The green not consistent at all. Considering for the price we pay, we expect much better than this. This is absolutely overpriced golf course. Not worth to play. Not only the green but speed of play also terrible. When we arrive there, there is less than 20 cars at the car park. Obviously not many people playing that day. Turn out we have to wait 3 group in front of us starting from hole no.8.

I have played this course several times and have read all the comments below. I really don't know what some people are thinking, but cut away the bs about poor caddies, average food and high prices, and what you get is a top 10 golf course in Asia Pacific. I have played over 120 courses in Thailand and just about every world class course in Asia Pacific - if you're a golfer you'll love this track - especially from the tips. Of course if you don't have the faintest clue on what makes a great golf course, then I agree that you should play somewhere much cheaper. Food, clubhouses, lockers and caddies do not make the golf course.

I have played this course a number of times during occasional trips to Phuket. One time I made the mistake of playing the course twice in 3 days. They had not changed the pins, and when I asked, they said they only change the pins once per week. This is CRAZY for a high-class course. The course itself if fantastic, as is the clubhouse. But they have a chronic problem of not having enough Red Mountain caddies, so keep having to borrow from Loch Palm. You should not have to play such a high quality course with a "borrowed" caddie who does not know the course. Bottom line, a great course and facility, but extremly badly managed. Once they get a new manager, the place will truly be top-notch

I think the owners should pay attention to the attitude of the course manager (a young farang who can speak very good Thai). Caddies are really poorly-trained. Very disappointed.

Expensive, but perhaps the most exhilerating golf course in Thailand and thus still value for money. Every hole is different and memorable. Not a course for the weak hearted, but absolutely playable if you think your way around. It kicked my ass, but I'll be back!

Played on Songkarn day, the hottest time of the year, but the course is in good condition and there was a nice breeze, in 3.5 hours by passing others, who teed off two hours before according to my caddy, can't understand how anyone could play nine holes in 3.5 hours! Highly enjoyable: this is a thinking course, any astray shot got severely punished. Beautiful setting, beautiful course, will come back again.

I think this is the most beautiful golf course in Thailand right now. I played on April 14. All greens and fairways are in great condition. Layouts are very challenging. Definitely will come back.

You must know the layout. Otherwise, you may need tens of balls. If you love a challenge, this is the one after Blue C. Try from Back Tee-box. You will have lots of fun, although you really must execute accurate shots one after another.

I wish I would have found this site prior to playing/booking Red Moutain. The comments below mine are accurate, very accurate. Although I didn't meet the farang manager, the starter girl was quite the idiot. I booked a tee-time with my wife, who is a beginner, but likes to play and we enjoy playing in Thailand because its so friendly and usually you can play a two-some no problem. Anyway, the one started said ok, then the second started asked if 2 golf studs could join us since they are busy, I told them we arent that good and would rather play by ourselfs. Anyway she said ok, however, i watched her tell the two golf studs to get on the tee box with us and tee off. After I tee'd off I went to speak to her and asked to speak to the club pro/manager and she acted very sorry, but needless to say she never sent the manager. Course is nice and green, a lot of hard holes, greens are nice and many hazards. THESE ARE THE WORST CADDIES ON THE ISLAND THOUGH. Couldn't read breaks, hell they wouldn't say a word on the green. My caddie was 20 years old, so no experiance. Could tell yardage or anything, woorthless to say the least. Anyway, dont waste your time or money at this course.
