Black Mountain is one of the best golf course I ever play. For the moment the condition is even awesome. Can be the best course in Thailand.

I was expecting a lot better than that ... Baht 2000 is reasonable for Hua-Hin area. Over that price i definitely won't play there. Baht 250 for the caddy is unreasonable as they are basically hopeless, a good attitude is not enough ! Championship course ? Any pro will play this at 6 under per round (most par 5 are reachable) ... The day we played, the greens were irregular and extremely slow. Some bunkers are packed with left over iron bars and concrete !! To walk the course is no problem at all and i am always sad to see young, fit people ride carts ... I liked the rough though which at last penalixe a bad shot (a rarety in Thailand courses). A good addition to (overpriced golf) at Hua-Hin but it needs to really shape up to become the exception they advertise. The 'car park' clubhouse is pretentious which unfortuntely seems to be the trend in Thailand ... but my lovely car was kept in the shade while i burned out there !

Black mountain is the top ten of beautiful golf couse in Thailand. I played on Aug.12, it's in perfect condition, Fairway is very nice and soft like carpet, Green has nice sloping, tee-off stage is neat and leveling. Layout is very nice all holes, background mountain view is really beautiful. Recommend all level of golfers should play, you will feel the worth of money. I will re-visit there in Sept.

Played here many times and always enjoyed it. Good idea to have a good value summer special and I read about your claim of keeping the course in its tournament condition, so I went for a game a couple of weeks ago. Found that you had just cored and sanded the greens and no warning about this in pro shop - only the claim that it was still in tournament condition! Yes, the fairways were excellent but whoever is running this place should be embarassed. Be honest with customers.

There are just 2 golf courses in Hua Hin to play. Black Mountain and Banyan. Let's leave it at that. I find there are too many over critical coments made in these blogs/forums. They are both clearly the 2 best courses in Thailand, well managed and maintained. Look at all the other course standards around here it's long overdue and time they pulled there socks up !

Playing there on weekdays in early August 2007, we had no problem whatsoever with the flow. Keep fit to walk on this course...which should be fun!! Splendid view, fairways, punishing rough, and especially the devilish greens. Though I had more than my share of three putts, that didn't prevent me from having fun. Somehow playing this course reminds of Spring City, Kunming. Congratulations to the management, especially on the improving quality of staff! Too bad the regular prices will prevent many golf enthusiasts from this privilege. How about reduced fees while the noisy construction of homes is ongoing? I agree something should be done to the road leading to your clubhouse.

Very challening, but fair. Although the course is hilly, it is not needed to take a buggy. Strokesavers are handed out at entrance. The greens are excellent. Very fast !! Negative : the road to reach BM is still in bad condition, and play was too slow. Of all the courses I played in Hua Hin area, this was my favourite.

Played on Sunday July 8 2007. Course was in good shape. Great fairways, and greens with some blind tee shots and approach shots. Greens were not that fast if you can read the mountain line you will be fine. Rough was tough to get out. Caddies were new and got little knowledge, don't blame it on them. Green fee 2000 baht was a little out of the pictures compared it to all golf courses in Hua Hin area (we can find a better green fee to play) and with 4000 fee later this year it would be even odd for me to play here again. Too bad!!!

just played on 8th Jul 07: what a challenge layout, lots of blind shot, luckily that the course gave yardage book (complementary within green-fee price), only 10th green that under repairing the rest are in good condition & very difficult to read the line, anyhow, green-fee price is a bit expensive (promotion rate is 2,000) if compare with nearby golf courses. BTW, no any drinking water in the locker!
