Highlands is the best run course in Chiangmai. Our group has played everywhere this year and this is the only place where pace of play, etiquette, tee times and proper golf behaviour is adhered to. Other Chiangmai CLubs need to change their "this is Thailand" attitude and try to catch up to these guys!

Played Highlands in early December and really enjoyed the experience. Found the course difficult but not beyond this 23 handicapper. Never had a poor lie, the bunkers were very well groomed and the greens were lightning but true. The nearby area seems to be experiencing drought conditions but the course was unaffected, although I wondered if the course might be more visually challenging if the various water hazards had been full rather than being about 1.5 metres down on capacity. My caddie was delightul but unfortunately english was limited and golf assistancemight have been better. The round took about 4+ hours but could have been better if larger groups were given guidance from management. Overall an enjoyable experience and I would recommend to all level of players.

I do agree with previous reviews in that the course is in superb condition. However I & a few of my mates who all live in CM feel that a number of the holes are very samey & that it's ridiculously overbunkered. It may grow on me when I play it again, but it certainly isn't the most beautiful of the courses. Prefer CM Lamphun, Royal & Green Valley. The jury's still out!

If you can only play one round in Chiang Mai, play this course. Excellent condition, service, caddies...everything. Very nice.
