First course we played on the first visit to Chiangmai. Well-maintained and manicured greens and fairways. A few challenging multi-tiered greens and elevated ones, sloping away on all sides, reminding me of Siam Plantation course in Pattaya. Caddies were about average. 800 Baht for a weekday was an excellent deal, compared to what one would have paid near Bangkok.

No question - This is the number 1 course in Chiang Mai.

I have played this course on 16 Nov 07. Fairways is very good ,also green and scenery is superb. It is worth for me to fly from BKK to play this course. the only thing, there should be air-conditioner in the locker room to cool us down after the golf. Overall is a good golf course

Terrific course with an interesting combination of short and long par fours. Extremely challenging layout (unless your are as good as Pinney below). Fast and smooth greens. Attentive staff, starters and marshals. Only negative is the distance from the city.

This is an example of "you get what you pay for". Maybe the most expensive round of golf in C'mai but worth every Baht. We are used to "thai style" aloof marshals whereever we play but here they made a huge effort to make sure we got round. To start they starter let our 3-ball begin on the 10th instead of behind a large group on 1, and when we made the turn they had made sure the first was clear. Not the usual 4 groups waiting you find other places. Sure the course is the top in Chiangmai but the effort is what made it #1 for our group.

A must play course. Best driving range/practice facilities in Thailand. Fast and smooth greens, well manicured fairways and speed of play was very good the day I played (a weekday). I've played 400 courses around the world and most of the top 50 in Thailand, and rank this as good as any in Thailand. A little hard to find though, and I drove right past it (I saw a billboard, but thought it was just an advertisement and didn't realize that was the entrance). Food was good too (if you could overlook the ants on the salad plate).

The best course I have played on - anywhere. Layout is challenging and those greens could be impossible if they were faster - we played after some heavy rain. If you only play one course in Chiang Mai - play this one. Outstanding

the design layout for Highland is much better IMO than "the other" top course in Chiang Mai. the course was in great condition, each hole was challenging and the greens rolled true. hazards and risk/reward holes were fair. plenty of undulation to keep the holes interesting as well as good mounding on the course. highly recommended.

This is the best course in northern Thailand, including course condition, management of the operations, service in restaurant and caddies. Good job, Thailand needs more facilities that really know how a golf club should operate.
