I am a Chiangmai local and I play Highlands about 3 - 4 times per month. The course has been in fantastic condition since it opened. I don't like to book a caddy so I get a different one each time out and I believe they are improving considerably. I read most of the blogs on this site for CM courses so I understand golfers concerns but in this case the entire property is improving from the caddies through the restaurant service. The housing project will be interesting to see if they can sell out. Thailand has a reputation for never quite following through on these types of projects.

I'm a friend of "Rookie to C' Mai". I agree that the course, caddies and such added to our experience but the price didn't. These rates are okay for BKK but for C' Mai and C' Rai its too much to play regularly.

played in November early morning. Still the best course in Chiang Mai.

One of the two best golf courses in Chiang mai. Length of the White Tees is ridiculous given the damp fairways and lack of roll. This course has a rating but the rating is bogus. All in all a good course. Always in good condition

The best Golf Course in the Chiang Mai area. I always love to come back and play this one. If in the area try to play twice. 18th hole is great

I played the Chiangmai Highland course on 10 November 06 and absolutely love it. The course is superb and undoubtedly the best in Chiangmai. Green is very fast and very well compacted therefore ball doesn't 'bite'. Most of the greens are elevated and well protected by bunkers. Caddies are well organised but lack the experience of reading greens. The clubhouse is new and unlike some comments left by other golfers, I found the changing room well appointed. As for the speed of play, I think this depends very much on your luck whether you get stuck behind slow players. Generally, most of the Thailand courses allow 5-ball group, therefore contributed to slow speed. "Overtaking" can only happen at the drink huts or halfway hut as most Thai course marshalls generally are not concerned about speed but rather the upkeep of the course. Great course and definitely a must play..

A really enjoyable place to play golf. Terrific potential, could be the best in Chiangmai.

I played on this course on 13th June, 2009. It was such a nice and well maintained course, I went back to play again on 14th June before I left Chiang Mai. The Marshal and Caddy was good, they allowed me to move to next hole instead of waiting behind a few groups. The caddy I have know the course well, and read the green very very well (I saved a few shot thanks to her). If you are visiting Chiang Mai for golf, you should visit this course.

Played 10/3/06. Excellent design and condition even though opened for play only 3 months.Greens and fairways are near perfect and the scenery is something to behold. Will definitely play here again on my next visit to Chiang Mai. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
