Been much improved after the 2011 big flood.
The course condition is now good value for you to seek a reasonable price golf to play near BKK.
Good and cheap food and beverage at both kiosks and clubhouse.
If you never had an experience playing golf beside the runway that there are planes landing and taking off in every 5 mins, Let try this one !!! :)

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said about the fact the course is located between two (newly) re-opened runways at Don Muang airport? Nothing....so let me describe the course and my playing experiences here. First thing you'll notice is that the fairways are fairly narrow; if you're not accurate with the drives off the tee the omnipresent OBs will claim your ball. Note: much of the OBs (and water) run on the right side of the fairways so if you're a slice-o-matic this course will punish you. Other than that the coruse is well laid out and actually a lot of fun to play. Now for the gripes, for 3 out of the 4 times I've played here the caddies were superb, highly knowledgeable about the course and distances, the one time I had a problem was when my caddy was about 12 years old. Just a young guy, nothing wrong with his personality, he just didn't know the course well at all. The clubhouse is far superior to what the cheap green fees would alude to!!

It doesn't matter if you shout "Fore", nobody will hear it. If you need to work on your concentration, this is the place. Imagine putting for birdie 1 foot away from the whole and dealing with the deafening sound of a 747 taking off (it doesn't go away in 4 secs, believe me). It was on the 100 things you have to do before you die, go there and enjoy the experience!!

forget about the golf game... just go there, hit a few balls and soak in the sight of a 747 boeing taking off on ur right, as an airbus lands on ur left...

Playing between the runways at the airport is a bizarre experience. Good value for money, and a chance to get Duty Free Heineken in the large can.

I've wanted to play this course because it is nestled between two runways. Now I have done so and no reason to return. Greens roll true but are small and don't hold very well. Chipping proved to be a challenge, fairways were just OK. At least a round of golf is cheap.

A lot quieter now that Suvarnabhumi airport is open. Still military traffic but not many. I played on a Friday when the RTAF course was closed and it looked as if it would be s-l-o-w play, not so, I teamed up with 4 retired RTAF officers and we did not hold anybody up or get held up ourselves. The course is fairly wide and straight, reminicent of Muang Ake, but interesting enough for high handicappers, like our group. Don't expect perfection, but for the price this is a great deal. The caddies were super, supplied fruit and spare tees with a cheerful smile. Clubhouse is basic but the beer is cheap :-). You should try it, if only to say you've played golf between the runways of an international airport.

Crazy! Cargo jets landing and engines blasting on the left, Lufthansa 747 rocketing off on the right! Really cool experience. We had to have a member set up the tee time though. Please note there is a different Air Force Course near the airport too. Perhaps that is the new one? I played there too and that was a good deal.
