This is a great course. Unlike most Thai courses the greens have some movement to them. The condition is excellent and design challenging. I played off the blue tees and had difficulty in scoring par. Some great long par 4's. Don't miss. Whilst not as good quality as Santiburi it is far better layout and more difficult

Would be nice if we could play two rounds a day without paying full fare everytime ... Club house is horrible and do not fit the otherwise beautiful setting. Greens are playable but WAY too slow (more lawnmover on the move please ...), fairways are fair but not top class. Layout is interesting and environment peaceful weekdays. Green fees seems to increase faster than anywhere else !

Waterford is a super golf course. I have been a member for five years. Unfortunately the new management are spoiling the experience of playing there. They offered a deal for local players but did not honour the agreement. Some people paid 8,000 bahts in good faith... and have not been allowed to play for a reduced rate. In many countries this would be called stealing! The attitude of current reception staff is appalling. There is always aggrevation and hostility when I try to play there. Now very few local people (either Thai or Falang) play at Waterford. Santiburi and Happy City are both much more friendly.

if there were more Dailonis(52) caddies would get 4-5,fairways are quite good, butnot worth 5 ,yet ;hope the fairways will be close to 5 during my next visit. The culbhouse facilities are not worth 4,but Mr Chai gets a few etra points, thats why 4.Thaifood is too spicy for me,so 3 ;the fruits save the day.The fairways are getting better all the time, during each visit they are a little bit better than before

to sandsave: The clubhouse is very good, there is a beautiful scenery over holes 9 and 10. The food is good at the clubhouse. The accomodation is also excellent. Had the pleasure to play the course many times during 1999-2000-2001. Today the prices are quite expensive. Golfcar compulsory not good.

it's a spectacularly beautiful and tough course good for big hitters except that the greens are very small and your on-shot has to be accurate. I played Waterford and Santiburi on the same weekend in June 2006 and found Waterford to be much superior to the over-hyped and over-sold Santiburi which could do with a little bit of drainage technology. If you go to W get a cart. This course was not designed with walkers in mind.

Played here in October 2004. Not very well keept, with dry and brown fairways, bumpy greens and terrible conditions. I talked to the green- keeper, who was a friendly chap, and he said they were preparing for the high season... To bad, because this is not good enough... Very good layout, with hilly, rolling fairways, and also a challenging course. To bad I'm not going back for the high season...

We stayed at Waterford Resort for eight nights beginning of February 2006 and liked it very much. We played the course 5 times. Nice staff, excellent rooms for the money (first night 3500 Baht, following nights 1700 Baht, 800 Baht green fee if you stay at the resort on WD and 1200 for the WE). Caddies were o.k. and course well maintained, but did not reach fully Santibury level. On WD very quiet, nearly no Koreans. Can recommend the north od Thailand very much for the better climate conditions to play golf compared to the south.

A beautiful setting, calm and peaceful with views over distant hills. It's nearly an hours drive from Chiang Mai, the clubhouse is very basic and the course condition only adequate. However, it's a really interesting layout, set on a hillside with blind holes, dog legs, variations in elevation and some water hazards. Some of the drives are intimidating and it's difficult to score well on because the greens are so small. Well worth a visit though!

I have played this a number of times and am now a member. This course is set in beautiful countryside and in my opinion is much harder than Santiburi down the road due to the smaller, faster greens and penalties if you go off line. Hole 1A and 2B are both reachable par 5's but the itimidating tee shots (espacially off the back tees) make them nerve-wracking! Not the same quality as Santiburi in terms of pampering and beatifying on the course, but far more natural.
