When I play the course it was in a very bad condition. The had not cut the fairway in a week and the tees didnĀ“t have much grass at all. The staff was very friendly but I am not going to play there any more. The food was good and that was the best of all.

Sunday morning 8:30 AM of 4/12/05 is my 1st time at this lovely-layout course hiding in the army camp near Hua Hin area. The course setting & surrounding is exotic, a mixture more hilly contour with some flat plane and swampy area. Though I love the layout, the fairway lawn mowing & maintenance needs a bit manicuring to meet a basic good course standard. The greens are very slowww...!, need more frequently mowing. Bunkers also need a real rescue. The golfer population here in this course is a mixture of regular Thai & Foreigner expat/long-stay tourists. Anyhow, good things: 1. The course location is not far from most prominent beach resorts in Hua Hin. 2. Green fee is considering very budget, Week-end rate: 400.-B. for all walk-in golfers, 200.- B. for government officials, and 70.- B. for military officials; 200.- B. caddy fee. Finally, it's somewhat "Back To Basic" alternative golf course, comparing to the expensive ~1,500.- to 2,000.- green fees in this Hua Hin - Cha-am area.

This course offers a lot more than I expected. The layout is quite good, with a very interesting mixture of holes. A couple of short par fours require an accurate iron layup and over water to the green. There are a number of longer holes as well, which are mostly straight. Water comes into play on about 7 or 8 holes. The greens are consistent, but slow. The fairways don't compare to the resort courses in Hua Hin, but you generally have a good lie. The rough, mowed with a brush hog (no exageration) is an absolute bear. At 600B on a weekday (800B weekend), it is the best bargain around Hua Hin.
